Dy{F R Danby}10 - G 23321 March 23, 1921 Mr. Claude Johnson - Sheet 2. The Pratt & Whitney Company are doing this work free of charge, as they are anxious to interest us in the use of these gears. From the several very accurate measuring instruments which they have evolved, we have ascertained that the tooth spacing in the Maag system of gear cutting is considerably more regular than in the Brown & Sharpe system, but the results so far obtained have been disappointing.
