D/BT{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} o Mr. c Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} e Mr. from Mr. X8950 N12/T20.5.26. re Chassis No.7-LC. ex Riviera Car. Further to memo FN3/DN30.4.26 and EW1/HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/T3.5.26, and White Card 29489 Order No.54048, PN{Mr Northey} telephoned this morning asking if Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} could fit Hydraulic Shock Dampers to this Car, and have this work completed in time to allow of the Car being delivered to BJ at Gerrards Cross by tomorrow Friday night, or at the very latest by 11 o'clock on Saturday morning the 22nd inst. After consultation with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} we informed PN{Mr Northey} over the telephone that he thought he could carry out the fitting of the Hydraulic Shock Absorbers in time to allow of the above delivery. We accordingly handed the car over to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} to enable him to proceed at once. PN{Mr Northey} agreed that none of the complaints included in his FN3/DN30.4.26 need be attended to at the present time. As we booked the car in, and at present hold the spares etc. belonging to it, we will, when the shock absorber job is completed, have the spares in question put back on the car, and the delivery notes obtained to enable EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} to arrange for delivery in the usual way. Hx. | ||
