| X241 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}14/KT.30.5.33. BENSPORT SERVO. We find that the clearance between the star springs G.53180 on the servo is in excess of .100", usually about .125", whereas according to the drawing it should be .076". We think .060" would be sufficient to prevent servo jaggers. Rather than make the springs to closer limits, By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} is recommending fitting a washer between the two centre springs to allow .060" movement before they come choc-a-bloc. It is important to minimise this distance as the lost pedal travel is eight times this amount. Will you please fit such a washer to future Bensport chassis, and to existing ones when they are in the shop. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
