X775 No 55 "Ferndale" Botwell Lane Hayes, Middlesex. 3-11-27 To H.S. I have just received your note dated 1-11-27 re-Marthashen. Unfortunately I have been the victim of peculiar circumstances. During the latter end of September I wrote to Marthashen addressing the letter to Mess President asking him for the bill so that matter could be settled up. Apparently they had sent the bill which had come during my absence from Hayes. Wenger had put it in his pocket intending to give it to me and apparently forgot about it. I was talking to him this morning about this note from you and was making inquiries if anything had arrived at the digs and had been put by when Wenger remembered & produced the bill from Marthashen. That is the whole thing. I apologize although you can see the circumstances in which I have been placed. I can assure you that I do not owe or have any other bill outstanding. I will come to Derby this weekend and go and see Mr Wormald if you like. I want to know where my expenses have been unsatisfactory, and to get the whole job settled up as there is a lot of misunderstanding. T.A.G. | ||
