Re Changing of Engines on Chassis.

The following is a copy of a memo received from Sales Dept. Ref: Sgll/W/7.2.27.

" We understand that instances occasionally arise where Engines are changed on Cars after they have been delivered to Customers.
" An instance may be quoted of 92-MC. Mrs Corrigan.
" We presume you appreciate that whenever this is done, it is most important that action should be taken to draw the Customer's attention to it,
" as in the case of Cars taken abroad and which have previously been abroad, very considerable
" difficulty would arise if, on the second visit,
" the Car was sent in with an Engine of a different
" number to that appearing on the triptique papers.
" In fact, the Car might be liable to confiscation.
" You will also doubtless appreciate that as we
" have to give the Engine number for English licence
" any question of notification of change is important:

Will you kindly see that all concerned are advised of this.
