To halt production of stellited silchrome valves due to cracking and burning issues found during testing.

Further running on these valves has shown that they crack. A closer examination of the valves which were run on the 15,000 mile test reveals that some of these have started to crack. The trouble seems to be that in stelliting the silchrome material is raised to too high a temperature, and, in consequence, is partially burned.
