WELDING OF SHEET STEEL WATER JACKETS

Sample.7.

Jacket was treated by cosletizing (one half having bright and the other matt finish) and welded with A.W.P. special type wire, oxidation taking place as in previous samples.

No difficulty was experienced regarding the welding of these pieces. The special type of wire supplied is rather too thick and does not fuse as well as it might.

We are sending along the samples which have not been submitted for fracture.
