6112 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.5/AP. July 15th 1937 Messrs Smith & Sons Ltd., Cricklewood works, LONDON N.W.2 For the attention of Mr.C.W.Nichols. Dear Sirs, Some considerable time ago we had from you for experimental test a single wire petrol gauge suitably calibrated for one of our 25/30.HP. chassis petrol tanks. We have now completed our tests on this unit but before going any further in the matter, we would like as soon as possible a cost comparison made between this single wire type of gauge and our existing standard type, based on quantities of 1000. We had a figure from you some time ago but it is quite likely you will want to revise this figure up-to-date. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
