To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} (struck through) c to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X7770 Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}9/T.1.5.28. "SS{S. Smith}" TYPE. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} mentioned to me that you were keenly interested in pushing this job. I have been through the job with our Pattern Shop and we have got doubly the number of men on it and are now working on the Top Half Crankcase, Bottom Half Crankcase, Cylinder Head and Gear Box. These are the only drawings we have; of course they are the principal ones. We are going to finish these in five or six weeks time. If we could get instructions for the smaller parts they could also be made in the same time, because we can get one or two firms that we can rely upon to make the small parts and possibly some of our own Pattern Makers will be released for the small work also, so that you will see, providing we get complete instructions, we can get the patterns finished. We will get a very urgent move on all this work, and with a pull all round we should get the whole job done very papidly. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} | ||
