Smith} REAR SPRING FRONT ANCHORAGE. Herewith we send N.Sch. 2813 shewing the aluminium die castings enlarged to enable the gaiter to be carried beyond the second leaf, as was recently done on the front springs. The successful experiment on the front springs would be adapted to the rear. Nothing is altered except the die castings. We notice on the Derby drg. that though the front springs have a short stiff end to the second plate on the rear springs a taper similar to that on the other plates is obtained. Does this occur in fact, and if so what is the explanation of the difference? DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
