ALUMINIUM WASHERS IN PLACE OF FIBRE WASHERS.

The question of the use of fibre washers is always coming up for discussion. We have replaced fibre washers in many places by aluminium, and I have under consideration the idea of replacing all small diameter plug washers in fibre by aluminium.

I am, however, somewhat in doubt in regard to the hydraulic shock dampers. Would you therefore kindly have a shock damper fitted up, replacing the existing fibre washers with aluminium washers, for the following piece numbers:-

G.50178, Washer for oil plug.
E.9385. Washer for high pressure valve cover screw.
E.14144. Washer for Enot Lubricator.
E.16956. Washer for oil plug.
K.5004. Washer for Plug E.19058.
K.5013. Washer for high pressure valve cover.
K.5024. Washer for body of filter.

If you will kindly try out the above, and you are all satisfied that the aluminium washers are satisfactory, I will then issue instructions covering same.
