Oy3-E-10724 -10- October 7, 1924. (17) Lubrication of Engine Coupling. (cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}) The engine coupling lubrication on standard cars is generally neglected because it is below the floorboards. It is less accessible on the new experimental car because of the wide projection in front of the gearbox. On our axle test car the scheme shown in accompanying drawings has proved out well in two weeks' use and is now being fitted on 102 CX.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Practically no leakage occurs at the front of the trunnion housing. Some leakage occurs at the front end of the coupling when oil is put in rapidly, but if the job is stopped as soon as oil drips from the front of the coupling, we find the coupling well lubricated at both ends. There is no oil hole in the coupling barrels. Oy. AO/E | ||
