Rolls Royce Ltd., D E R B Y. 4th January, 1929. Dear Sirs, As arranged with your Mr. Hives we are sending per Passenger Train to-night, the pair of P.100 Projectors fitted with a special Graves type anti dazzle bulb, and we shall be glad to have your comments in due course, as to their superiority or otherwise over the other system which you have already tested viz., the lamp incorporating the double bulb. We are sending with the lamps, a spare bulb in case of accident. With regard to the markings on the front glasses, you will notice that these have been reversed and the cut lines are now on the top half instead of the bottom as in the previous lamps, the reason being that in the dipped position the light comes from the top half of the reflector and it is the purpose of these cut lines to smooth out any irregularities in the light and give an even flood of illumination on the road. | ||
