-2- Contd. Sample in Envelope III. The evidence of the screw point in this case has been filed away. The evidence from lever point is that of the presence of oil. It will now be appreciated that in this matter we recognise three different degrees- (a) Very rapid burning away of points on our own ignition due to the presence of oil vapour. (b) Points - either platinum or tungsten - requiring attention after about 5,000 miles and run on our own ignition in the absence of oil vapour. (c) Points running for 10,000 miles without attention, and 25,000 miles without replacement, as described by OY. on the Delco-Remy ignition contact breaker, and presumably also on the American Bosch, though we have not yet proved this on the U.S.A. Bosch equipment which OY. has sent to us. EFC. | ||
