20 hp Dynamo with 48 coil Armature and Trailing Poles.
Dynamo N on which the previous tests of 48 coil armature were made has now undergone some further tests with the poles bored out unsymmetrically by Mr Brock.
On receipt the main brushes were found to be 14° retarded from neutral with the end-plate normal. Curves with three positions of main brushes viz 11°, 14° and 17° retard were taken at 80°C according to the usual method: The results are shown on attached sheet.
Both the 11° and 14° positions gave a cutting-in speed of 935 rpm the output of the former rising to 15.2 amperes peak.
Signed: (Contd)
This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work.
