Dear Mr.Chayne,

I believe on your 1937 models you have evolved a device for preventing the second gear working out of mesh whilst over running down a hill.

On the information I am able to obtain, I cannot understand how the system works and wondered whether you would be good enough to get one of your engineers to write us a line giving us the low-down on this particular trouble. Like other people we have not yet evolved a 100% cure.
