A6 008. c - Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. BY/RD2/W.30.9.33. Dynamos for Tank Engines. With regard to the proposal to get 20 amperes at 1500 R.P.M. on the above machine, we do not think the machine is large enough to do this. When due allowance is made for the required number of conductors in the armature, there is insufficient room left for the field windings. Alternatively, to attempt to get in the required number and size of conductors in the existing diameter would result in the flux density being far too high in the armature teeth. BY/RD. | ||
