Attention Mr. Martindale

The writer wishes to acknowledge your letter of the 18th inst. Capt. Irving has had to enter a Nursing Home where he has undergone an operation. He is making satisfactory progress but will not return to the office for three or four weeks.

In the meantime, Mr. Roberts, our Chief Engineer, will be very pleased to come over to Derby for a discussion with you, if you will indicate a convenient date.
