I understand from C. that this car was bought through Barkers, hence this letter, which was also telephoned through to Mr. Manning in order to save time.

27th July 1932.

Messrs. Barker & Co. Ltd.
66, South Audley Street,
W. 1.

For the attention
of Mr. Manning.

Dear Sirs,

You will remember that you were good enough to obtain a small Alfa Romeo car for us which our Experimental Department has been interested in testing.

This car at the moment is at our Depot, Lillie Hall, and I am informed that it cannot be moved because of some derangement of the clutch, causing it to slip badly.

I am not aware personally whether the conditions of sale or purchase make it wise to keep from the Alfa Romeo people the fact that the car is in our hands.

Perhaps you will be good enough to take the necessary action whereby this car can immediately be dealt with by their Service Department.

Yours very truly,

(Percy Northey).
