SEQUENCE STARTER MOTOR & GEAR X7625 Would you kindly note that we are anxiously awaiting the experimental production of the following expl. modifications for urgent trial on the S.S. starter system:- (1) Duplex push button switch. BY/RD5/ML14.12.28 (2) Main & auxiliary switch unit with contact gaps to suit duplex push button switch. BY/RD5/ML19.12.28 (3) Alteration to lever to overcome undue lateness of timing of armature operated switch. Alteration sent through by BY/RD. ✓(4) Modified main armature spring D.71972. BY/RD3/ML27.12.28 (5) Modified pinion spring D.71984. BY/RD6/ML12.1.29 ✓(6) Pinion with backed-off teeth. BY/RD8/ML12.1.29 The three most urgent of these items in order of urgency are (6), (3) and (4). We should be pleased if you would duly urge these items accordingly. There are other items at present awaiting the D.O. which we shall be pleased if you will urge through so soon as you receive instructions fre for same. They are - (a) Heavier gauge teazer winding. (b) Longer lower rate main armature spring. (c) Parallel armature in place of taper armature. (d) Longitudinal armature damper to LeC. 2640.
