Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
Derby.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Steadman.

First of all we would like to thank you for the courteous interview granted our Mr. Waller and the writer when they called upon you yesterday.

There are several points which require confirmation and we will deal with these next week. In the meantime there is one very urgent matter which must be settled, that is in connection with the form and the size of the thread. Enclosed is a sketch showing the layout of the thread determined from your sizes and as you will note the sizes do not tie up. To make the sizes agree it means increasing either the .075 radius or the .025 radius.

Would you look into this matter immediately as until we have the question of the thread definitely settled we are unable to purchase the thread milling cutters which we shall require and these take some weeks to obtain.

Yours faithfully
for BIRKBYS LIMITED.

Sales Manager.
