File 1044 To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner} c. to EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/HH. Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner}10/JH.2.4.40. B.60 Reynolds Camshaft Drive. Ref. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/JRS.5/JH.21.3.40. We enclose herewith 2 prints of PL.165 showing the Reynolds chain driven camshaft for experimental use in place of the Morse chain. On the drawing there is all the particulars that Reynolds will need, such as speeds, size of engine, etc. I quite expect Reynolds will say the Triplex chain is desirable but we have not got room in the wheelcase for it and we shall have to content ourselves with a duplex. The roller chain appears to be 1/4" wider than the Morse chain for the same duty. Detail drawings can be made forthwith. Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner} | ||
