re. BODY FOR EAC.1.
Further to our conversation on this subject yesterday we informed you that we have two bodies which you could have for this chassis, and are long chassis, mounted on a subframe:-
(1) A Hooper enclosed limousine B. steering of maximum overall length on a long chassis. The body is painted with cellulose lacquer and will be available in about a week from now: Hoopers are waiting for a switchbox and a few oddments (see previous letters).
(2) A cabriolet by Barkers, long chassis on subframe. This body is C. steering and ispanelled, and could we suppose be completed in about three weeks time. We should need a chassis for this body as of course we could not send EAC. 1. to Barkers.
In order to enable us to send you some sketches for subframe mounting etc, we would like to know the dimensions of the dashboard which you have fitted to EAC. 1., as we believe it is not quite the same as originally instructed for EAC., and certainly different to the New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I.
Would you kindly wire us on receipt of this letter the height and width of the dashboard, and which of the two bodies you would like us to procure.
In the course of today we are fixing up a spare wheel carrier for the rear.
