To ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} from EFC.

EFC1/T24.11.27.

We thank you for obtaining from the G.E. Co. their full size print of the EHT.No.2. valve. I am afraid it would be quite impossible to utilise this without rebuilding our unit entirely, and owing to the probability that this is a very expensive valve, we think it would be less expensive in the end to utilise the same type of valve and take the risk. We propose therefore now to put into use the U3. rectifying valve which you obtained for us as a replacement, which means that the valve may be paid for in the ordinary way. This being the case, we think it would be just worth while to have the old valve returned to us as it may still be useable for some purposes. We should pay the postage.

EFC.
