Messrs. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Lucas, Ltd.,
Great King Street,
Birmingham.

Dear Sirs,

Re Black Finish for Chassis Control Parts.

Our Chief Engineer, Mr. Royce, is interested at the moment in the method of obtaining a black oxidised finish on certain parts similar to that obtained on the small Weston Miniature Precision Instruments.

We believe you once treated some control parts for one of our special cars in this manner. We thought you might be able to give us some information on the method of obtaining this finish as we would like possibly to make use of this on some of our Post-war Chassis parts.

Yours faithfully,
