[REDACTED] C. EFC. X8664 BY/Cgh{W Clough}1O/K.{Mr Kilner} 21. 5. 28. PHANTOM CHASSIS DYNAMOS. With reference to Yellow Sheet Y.38472 dated May 21st. instructing us to supply 4 modified dynamos to give a higher output, one dynamo has already been modified by the Experimental Dept. which has been sent to Paris for fitting to one of the 4 chassis referred to. This dynamo was taken from production test Dept., therefore should be replaced by a standard new one. In order to deal with the complaints more quickly, we are sending you a dynamo taken from the Experimental Dept., which has been used for experimental work but is not now required by them. Will you please arrange to have this dynamo modified by tapering the air gap in order to give it a 50% greater output at a speed corresponding to 50 m.p.h. The dynamo should then be sent into EFC. for confirmatory test. When the dynamo is ready please inform this Dept. so that we can make the necessary arrangements. BY/Cgh.{W Clough} | ||
