Dear Sirs, Re Petrol Gauges. In reply to your letter of the 12th inst., we are not quite familiar at the moment with the type of Nivex gauge to which you refer, except that we have always understood that this gauge used a diaphragm or Bourdon tube element for recording the pressure in the dash instrument. This type of gauge, as far as our information goes,has either (1) a hand air pump or (2) a constant air replacement device, working in conjunction with the vacuum feed fuel supply. It is fully realised that if a Bourdon tube can be made at a commercial price, sufficiently sensitive to continue to record the very small pressure differences required, and | ||
