X472 26-5-13 Na{Mr Nadin}12/B26513. Mr Platford is afraid that we may experience some trouble with the valve springs on the Austrian and Spanish Trials cars. I therefore suggest that it would be advisable to try, say, 6 springs, taken from the Stores, on the testing jig and compare them with 6 springs taken from the Stores but let down by ourselves in the oil bath. If we find the valve springs tempered by ourselves are any better we could let Mr Platford take with him 2 sets for the Spanish cars. [Signature] [Handwritten note:] Mr Mercer arrange this test to be carried out at once. Keep track of the job. Hry. May 26/13 This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers. | ||
