CHATEAUROUX. Indre. France. 5th January 1936. PHANTOM III. They are having trouble over here with the hydraulic tappets. Valves are remaining open during runs. They have found that the clearance of the plungers in the hydraulic cylinder have not the required clearance called for on the drawings. In some cases the clearance is less than .001" on the diameter. The drawing calls for .0012. There are also symptoms of valves sticking.
