C. Bowring}10/KW9.1.34. S.U. PETROL PUMPS. ------------------- With reference to our memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bwg.{J. C. Bowring}/KW9.1.34. It was suggested in memo. Sft{Mr Swift}4/BR.6.1.34. that an S.U. mechanic should travel round making the necessary changeover of unions, etc. On looking into this we think it would be much better for us to carry out the work, as we do not want their mechanics visiting the various Coachbuilders or even these Works. Seeing that the changeover necessitates the Pumps being removed from the Dash, we suggest as follows:- That the S.U.Co. supply twelve Pumps at a time with the new unions fitted (as well as maintain their weekly production as at present). We then change the rectified Pumps for the faulty ones, which we return to them for the modifications to be carried out, and so keep this up until the whole have been changed up to date. Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} is writing the S.U. Co. re this, to try and arrange accordingly. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/J.Bowering. | ||
