In FN's report of his conference at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town, concerning 'wobbles' which I dictated yesterday, as he related it to me, he mentions that in his opinion, wobbles are not being experienced to a dangerous degree on other fast cars, so far as he knows.

Since then I have been trying to ascertain how far this is so, but I am of opinion that it is difficult to ascertain how far other makers are in difficulties in this respect. It seems certain that it is an acknowledged difficulty, and is being generally discussed in the Press here and in America.

I think FN had in mind that seriously dangerous points in any make of car soon become generally acknowledged, but he had not heard of wobbles having developed on Hispano cars, etc., to an extent of being a serious and uncontrollable danger, - whereas, some of the other officials at the Conference were inclined to think that all fast cars, excepting racers, were wobbling dangerously at present.
