the dynamo which are no longer regarded as necessary.

We are therefore going ahead on the assumption that the above scheme will be used on all our productions.

Chassis Wiring.

We feel that we ought to arrange the Rolls-Royce wiring now as a harness but there are certain difficulties in connection with adopting this scheme due to the numerous changes often called for such as wiring up for different headlamps, and the different combinations of lighting called for on some Colonial cars. This matter will be carefully looked into with a view to reducing the problem down to the simplest modifications that will cover the requirements. We feel the problem can be met by having one harness and using additional wires where changes are required.

The use of junction boxes between the headlamp wires and the harness which are required to enable the radiator unit to be detached will greatly simplify this problem.

Dipper Switch.

It is agreed that the dipped switch can be of the Lucas type and this is being tested now on various chassis.

Stop Lamp Switch.

The Lucas stop lamp switch is not considered sufficiently good and reliable for our purpose and the Rolls-Royce type which is of small inexpensive design has given excellent service and will be retained in the specification.

Switchbox.

Messrs. Lucas are developing a switchbox for us but this is not very satisfactory at the present time and as an alternative we are producing a lighter and simpler R.R. design which will be applicable to all Rolls-Royce and Bentley chassis. In any case we cannot use any of Lucas' standard productions in this section, and so far as can be ascertained any of the pieces, so it is, therefore, expected that the Rolls-Royce design will be required.
