Valve Springs for F.II Unit No. 28.

We find that with the springs instructed in our memo: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.24/KW.31.5.34, there is a danger of the spring top washers fouling the rockers. Will you therefore cancel this instruction and put in hand a set of taper springs as under :-

            Inner        Outer

Dia. and gauge        .128 (10 SWG.)    .212 (5 SWG.)

Inner dia. of coils
small end        .875        1.150
large end        .975        1.375

Total No. of coils    8 1/2        6 1/2

Free length        2.395        2.495

Length (valve closed)    1.750        2.000

Load (valve closed)    28.5        81.5

Rating            44.0        164.5

Other manufacturing details as for E.84551/2. The existing spring washers will take these springs.
