C O P Y. To Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} " " E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} " " EFC. COPY. X.762. R4/B.13.3.17. FE CAR ENGINE. X.762.- Many thanks for Mr. Clark's note with reference to shock absorbers. You will remember that we are anxious to "Fizz" up the H.P. of the engines for the cars directly after the War. We have suggested one or two experiments with induction pipes which Mr. Elliott is aware of, and we are anxious to try a camshaft with a maximum lift on the inlet valve, both a quick lift and a high lift. Should this prove successful, we have promised to lend the camshaft and the necessary fittings to Mr. de Salamanca for one of his trials in Spain. We hope this is progressing. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
