Re: Weight of 21.HP. Humber Snipe
Sports Saloon.
--------------

From your information from the Humber Co.
we ascertain that:

The Chassis complete with radiator shell, petrol, oil
and water, spare wheel, and wings and steps
weighs 21 cwts, 3 qrs. 14 lbs.

The car complete with petrol, oil and water,
weighs 31 cwts, 0 qrs. 14 lbs.

The difference between these two weights is
9 cwts, 1qr. 0 lbs. which is the weight
they quote for the body unmounted.

We therefore presume that lamps etc. are
included in the chassis weight.

To get a chassis weight for the Snipe
comparable with that we give for B.III. we should
subtract the following:

Wings and running boards 1 cwt 1qr. 13 lbs. - B.2 all steel.
Headlamps. 22 lbs - P.100
Sidelamps. 3 lbs.
Tools. 15 lbs - estimated.
Rear bumper. 20 lbs.
-------------
1 cwt.3qr. 17 lbs.

This gives the Snipe chassis 20cwts.3 qrs. 14 lbs.
The corresponding figure for 7.B.5. is 23cwts,1qr.18 lbs.

To get a comparable figure for the Snipe
body we should add:
Wings and steps 1 cwt.1qr.13 lbs. giving a body
weight of 10cwts.2qrs.13 lbs.

The corresponding weight of the body of 7.B.5.
is 8cwts.3qrs.19 lbs.
