OUR REF: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}22/KW Exptl Dept. FORT DUNLOP ERDINGTON BIRMINGHAM November 19th. 1934. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Mr. Robotham, I am sorry to learn that you have not had as much technical liaison as you wish to have. I knew that Mr. Price occasionally brings with him members of the Development staff, and I thought this arrangement was meeting the situation. In view of what you say, I will arrange with Mr. Price to have one of our senior development men visit you regularly, - I am sure such an arrangement would be of great value to us. The recent development of front wheel suspension has given tyre manufacturers quite a lot of concern, and with your assistance we should undoubtedly get much information of value to us. In the meantime, I am asking Mr. King to reply to your specific queries on the "90" pattern tyre. One of our hopes in connection with the "90" pattern was that we should no longer have to supply your company with something non-standard. You may expect a visit from us in the very near future. Yours faithfully, For THE DUNLOP RUBBER CO LTD., a healey Works Director. | ||
