To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} 1114 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.6/MH.{M. Huckerby}4.3.38. 25.G.VI COOLING SYSTEM. As no cooling system tests are likely to be carried out on this car, it is desired that the minimum of new pieces shall be fitted to it. The only modifications required to the cooling system, therefore, are - (1) Water Pump - this will be necessitated since a new engine is to be fitted. If possible we should like a second set of parts to SCD.234 fitted to this car in place of a standard pump. (2) Fan - this will also be necessitated by the new engine and if possible we would like a fan to ECD.524 fitting. A Ferogrip fan belt which Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. will supply should also be fitted. (3) A special bottom water pipe will be required to connect from the pump position on the near side of car to bottom tank outlet on off side. (4) Heating of body interior - the arrangement requested in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.6/AP.2.3.38. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. | ||
