RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/ Mr.Hardy. 2.6.1? BY RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/TG.4/DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 17.9.37. [STAMP: 18 SEP 1937] Copy of memo' received from Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister} 14.9.37. re Chassis No. 3-BU.96. Hartley [STAMP: RECEIVED] "With reference to your RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/EG2/DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}13.9.37., there is nothing in our records to indicate that this car has been damaged in any way in the manner suggested. One would imagine that if a front wheel had hit a high curb with sufficient force to split one of the rollers in the steering box, some other damage would be apparent in the steering mechanism. There is, however, no sign of this." RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/EG. | ||
