"With reference to your RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/EG2/DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}13.9.37.,
there is nothing in our records to indicate that this
car has been damaged in any way in the manner suggested.

One would imagine that if a front
wheel had hit a high curb with sufficient force
to split one of the rollers in the steering box,
some other damage would be apparent in the steering
mechanism. There is, however, no sign of this."
