EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/T7.3.24. (4) Contd. were undercut, there was usually considerable evidence of mica not having been properly removed from the sides of the slots, and our own experience goes to show that this was a definite cause of bad commutation. This cannot now happen. Our expression "not undercut", then, refers to this earlier condition. A further report will follow shortly which will contain the comparative commutation results on the two coils per slot armatures. There will also be a further report dealing with the EAC type of brush gear on the 20 HP. dynamo. EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} | ||
