To Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. PN.{Mr Northey} c. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} X6135 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/AD24.6.32. 20/25 AND 40/50 INSTRUMENT BOARDS WITH IMPROVED ILLUMINATION. With reference to cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}14/KW23.6.32, we have no 20/25 exptl. car available at the moment for fitting the special instrument board referred to, for your inspection. The only chassis available which has an instrument board adapted for taking the standard 20/25 patch, is 19-CIV which will be required for other urgent tests for some time. We propose, however, to bring a sample 40/50 and 20/25 instrument board complete with all the latest illumination schemes, down to Conduit St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} along with the new type of instrument dial providing Messrs. Smiths have them ready in time, for Sales approval as early as possible next week. If you could arrange for a 12-volt battery to be available we could then light up each patch for inspection. We have also a set of Venetian cream dial Smith instruments available which we could also bring down for Sales approval. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
