-2- Re broken stub axle (continued). be a simple way of providing a certain amount of elasticity but, at the same time, I do not think that our tube is suitable for such treatment, beside which it is now nicely protected by being behind the axle. The spring buffers already shewn are very simple and if we come to the conclusion that they are only needed in one direction I recommend their adoption at once together with the can-celling of the screw joint already mentioned.
