SUBJECT

19th December .... 1935.

Dear Mr. West,

Whilst talking to you on the subject of screened ignition on Tuesday last, especially in connection with our meetings of the Society of British Aircraft Constructors, some mention was made that you believed you had a solution for this, so much so, that you had had a patent taken out and I am wondering whether I am asking you too much if you could let me know the number.

We should very much like to make ourselves familiar with your idea especially in view of the fact that our competitors may be taking advantage of it and if, as you say, it is likely to be a good thing it may be advisable for us to make use of it too.

Perhaps we can have a further chat on the matter at a later date but for the time being we should like to be familiar with what is going on.

Thanking you for your very kind help to me during my visit which I should be always most anxious to reciprocate.

Yours faithfully,

B Rushton
