Independent Suspension on the Bentley.
Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}14/E25.8.36

Referring to E.1/HP.18.8.36 I have carefully read your memo. and also Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}E/KW.19.8.36.

I feel that there is a great deal in what Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} says regarding the disadvantages and dangers of trying to make a completely new Bentley car nor do I think it is necessary.

The only important feature in which the Bentley is, or is rapidly becoming, out of date is in connection with the suspension.

This matter is one which I think had better be discussed and I will, therefore, raise it at our next meeting.
