DEVELOPMENT HAWK 114° CAMSHAFT.

We carried out two tests on this camshaft.

(1) M.P.37. This test was to determine whether any advantage would be gained from a shorter duration exhaust cam. The results shew that there is nothing to be gained by shortening the duration of the exhaust cam on E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} 32448, the "M.V. 114° shaft."

(2) M.P.38. This shows that we can expect to gain nothing further on this shaft by increasing the valve lift with the existing size of valves.

HR/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}
