S/W. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} X1140. re- Bonnet Locks - Phantom II. Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}9/KW21.1.32. Thank you for your HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.5/MA19.1.32.,which makes this position very clear except for one point. You tell us that the cost of the bar type locks is now £2.9.6., whereas previously we were informed that the cost would be £4.8.0. Will you please state if this cost is for a pair of locks - that is, the cost per chassis, there being presumably a lock each side of the bonnet - and that we merely have to add sufficient to that figure to permit of our quoting a discount to the Trade. One of the reasons we are querying these figures is because there is such a wide difference between what was previously quoted and what is now quoted, that we are most anxious to make sure there has not been a mistake somewhere. If you can clear our minds on this point we shall then be able to make a definite decision regarding this question. [Stamp] RECEIVED 22 JAN 1932 Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} | ||
