For the attention of Mr. C.W. Nichols.

Dear Sirs,

"Jackalls".

Your Fitter yesterday completed the installation of "Jackalls" on our Bentley car No. 5-B-IV.

As pointed out to your Fitter, we do not think the toe-in on the front Jack brackets necessary now that they are more or less "dead metal" castings, and we shall be pleased if you will kindly supply us with two modified front brackets which will bring the Jacks vertical.

Providing the system fitted is satisfactory we shall require another Bentley fitting up in the very near future, therefore will you please hasten the modified brackets through for us.

There is one point which we noticed after your Fitter had departed, that is the slow return of the Jacks on release, and we are wondering if the return could be speeded up without vast alterations to the box. Actually, we are afraid that an Owner might jump in the car after having changed a wheel, release the pressure and start off before the Jacks had returned very far into their respective housings, and cause damage to the Jacks by striking some object or other which may be in the road. We shall be pleased to have your comments on this point.
