X1357. COPY OF LETTER FROM SA. DATED 6.2.31. To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} RR/London. copy to Whr{Mr Wheeler}/RR/London. Sal/Db.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}6.2.31. X.6082. X. 1357 Dear Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}: I have had yesterday the visit of Mr. Homeyer of the "JOSEPH LUCAS LTD", of London, who is on an inspection visit in Spain. I told him that I was not at all satisfied with the "LUCAS" lamps of my car as they give a very poor light and yellowish. We inspected the car at the same time as we did other Rolls-Royce. We found that a big percentage of the trouble was due to insufficient wiring. We made an experiment connecting the batteries direct with the head-lamps with a thicker wire and we found a big improvement on the light. He has already discovered this fault on other Rolls and has decided to write a report to London about it and I promised that I would inform Rolls-Royce at the same time. Yours ever, CARLOS. | ||
