Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}3/T20.3.41 -2- As a mere driver of the car and not an engineer, the two things that annoyed me most were the division of the rear window, which appears enormous in the driving mirror, and secondly, the position of the gear lever. In order to change into or out of second gear, one has to take one's coat off, and even then the knob, one's right hand and the seat are all in the same place at the same time. I added 32 gallons of petrol while I was away, but do not know how many were required at the Clan to top up the tank. I added no oil whatever, having been told this would be unnecessary.
