Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/LG. Expl. Dept. 20th July 1928. For attention of Mr. W.A. Robotham. Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Derby. Dear Sirs, We beg to thank you for your letter of the 19th inst., and we are preparing a blue-print showing the exact size of both 20 h.p. and 40/50 h.p. dash units, for the purpose of instrument grouping and installation generally. You will realise that we have not yet sufficient information to enable us to make a detailed drawing of the tank units for these two cars, as the top plate casting which carries the unit will now require a slight modification to incorporate the pressure balance bell. We had already put in hand a pattern for a similar casting to your F.79117, and upon receipt of this, (it was promised for to-day), we will modify it to incorporate the bell and another connection for the pressure balance line, and send it to you for your remarks and approval. We have taken note that we are to send a copy of | ||
