WILMOT BREEDEN STABILISERS.

Referring to Messrs. Wilmot Breeden's letter of Decr. 2nd. my view is that the addition of a compressed rubber washer will entirely prevent the lead weights becoming loose in the bumper.

It is doubtful whether the antimonial lead remedy will be permanent, the compressed rubber washer is compressed .125" more than enough to out-live the bumper. A short road test is not indicative of the result, but if tried out on the 'bumper' one would expect to get comparative results.

Do we agree with By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Last 15,000 miles test antimonial washers o.k. How far had they run? Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}
